About Me

Elizabeth Kerri Mahon is a native New Yorker, an Anglophile and unabashed royalty watcher. Like most little girls she grew up with a little known malady known as tiara envy.  The only remedy was to read as many books as she could about royalty both past and present. This affliction continued even in adulthood, she was once late for work because she was too busy watching Prince Andrew’s wedding to Sarah Ferguson.  Since then she has confined her addiction to adding to her collection of books and magazines on both historical and modern royalty. Although from time to time, she does pull out the tiara and wear it around the house.

Her first book SCANDALOUS WOMEN, based on her blog, was released in March 2011 to enthusiastic reviews. Since the book’s release, it has been sold to Thailand and Korea, and was a best-seller in Singapore. The book has been featured in the DAILY CANDY weekend section, and it was an RT Book Review Non-Fiction Pick of the Month for April 2011.  Elizabeth was invited to Authors Night at the East Hampton Library where she signed books alongside movie critic Jeffery Lyons and ALL MY CHILDREN’s Susan Lucci. She has been interviewed by Marie Claire Malaysia, The West Side Spirit, and the Pittsburgh Historical Fiction Examiner.  She was also named RWA NYC’s Author of the Year for 2011.  In 2012, she will be a featured speaker at WE MOVE FORWARD on Isla Mujeres, Mexico, and was asked to participate in Chick History’s year long project HERSTORY. She will also be launching Scandalous Women radio in February 2012.  The readership for the blog continues to grow with almost a million page views to date.

A pop-culture diva, Elizabeth has written for the popular quiz site Reward TV.com as well as Heroes and Heartbreakers, A Perfect Romance and Criminal Element. She was also featured briefly in the BBC America TV show ROYALLY MAD. A professional actress, she has played virgins, vixens and princesses in everything from Shaw to Shakespeare. She is still waiting for her own prince to come.
